World-wide, strong relationships have been observed between increases in nutrient loading and proliferations of specific types of HABs. Yet, many important questions remain. If you are interested in learning more about the key research priorities related to HABs in Eutrophic Systems, please download the HABs in Eutrophic Systems Report. Research on all the major priority areas in eutrophication and its associated effects on HABs is welcome within the GEOHAB framework. The understanding of this important issue, and ultimately the management of nutrient loads and improved predictions and management of HABs, will require attention of the global community of scientists.
Contact the members of the Core Research committee on HABs and Eutrophication, and submit your projects for GEOHAB endorsement.
